iLinc Debuts ‘Web Conferencing Smock’ Video at AZ Tech Awards

Last night about 20 of us iLinc folks attended the annual dinner of the Arizona Technology Council called the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation. It was held at the University of Phoenix stadium, our new stadium here in the Greater Phoenix area where the Arizona Cardinals play football. The theme this year was “Super Ball 2007″ (as you might know the Super Bowl is being played there in February). It was a tremendous event with approximately 1200 attendees and many Arizonans were recognized for their contributions to technology in our state.

As a Phoenix-based company, we’re supportive of not only participating in, but helping to fuel and foster growth in the tech community here in our own backyard. It’s essential to us in attracting the best and the brightest. Arizona is quickly becoming recognized as a tech-friendly state and last night certainly supported that belief, with hundreds of companies represented like iLinc, Mitel, Avnet, Insight, Ensynch, iMemories, Axway, Google, Cox Communications and Televerde to name just a few.

We had some extra fun as the centerpiece sponsors for the event. iLinc provided the 120 tables with authentic iLinc logo’d footballs and tees on green turf. Add to that, our marketing team put together a short video featured at the dinner. I was persuaded by our marketing team to play a role for this video. Although acting is probably not my next career, we had a ball doing this!
