As follow up from my last post, iLinc’s annual Key Customer Summit took place last week here in Phoenix- and what an event it was!!! Wednesday’s presenters included Chris Gosk of Global Knowledge, who talked about their goals for a neutral carbon footprint and the positive environmental impact using iLinc has had on his company, and Dow Chemical’s Barb Nead-Nylander, who outlined their requirements for teaching an online course including that all their online instructors become “certified” before teaching an online course. She said this results in the courses running more smoothly and they receive higher approval rates from students. Andy Nilssen of Wainhouse Research gave us his insight about industry trends and his vision of Web conferencing in the future. Mary Alice Rau of Synnex and Terry Johnson of Blue Cross Blue Shield, NC gave very good presentations about their web conferencing use cases and how they ensured successful presentatons.
On Thursday Ken Molay gave a great presentation about preparing and delivering an online presentation that is truly “better than being there.” His presentation was one we all need to see, so go see it now!
In short, all of our speakers gave inspired presentations that touched on a variety of different subjects supporting the belief that our products improve the effectiveness for all size companies and many use cases! I hope that all of our customers and partners took away some valuable information and that it will make a positive difference with their companies going forward!
Thursday many of our customers and friends attended the FBR Open. What a great place to have some lunch, network and just visit with each other. And because the Super Bowl was in town this year, attendance records were set this year at the golf tournament making for some truly interesting people-watching. The weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all!
The Summit was a tremendous success and we are already brainstorming ideas on how to make next year’s Summit even better! The 2009 Key Customer Summit will take place January 26-29, so mark your calendars!
