I can already hear that unmistakable sound of slot machines dishing out dough to gamblers anxious to make a quick buck.
I’m packing my bags to attend “Affiliate Summit” in Las Vegas this weekend to share iLinc’s web and video conferencing affiliate program with the world.
Though I’m not a big gambler, there is a certain unmistakable electricity that one feels walking down the Las Vegas strip that just can’t be had elsewhere. But this trip, there is going to be a different electricity in the air…one generated by thousands of the top affiliate marketers in the industry, and the companies they represent, coming together to mix and mingle.
At this meeting of the minds, I’m not only going to be meeting current and potential affiliates of our web conferencing software, but I’m sure to learn some new tricks of the trade and brainstorm revenue generating ideas with the best.
This crowd loves to watch the money roll in—not from a slot machine, but from their websites. And they are great at it!
How Affiliate Marketing Works
Not familiar with affiliate marketing? The concept is simple. An affiliate marketer is a virtual sales rep for iLinc with a mission to share our webinar, elearning, and video conferencing products with your site visitors or customer base.
As an affiliate, you place a banner ad or link on your website or in a newsletter. Visitors click on that link, are directed to iLinc’s website, and we pay the affiliate between $3 -$150 if that person registers or attends a webinar demo, downloads a free iLinc web conference trial, or makes a purchase with iLinc.
It’s ingenious really! You can make money while you are out golfing, attending a seminar in Las Vegas, or even while you are sleeping.
Affiliate Marketing Tips
For those not attending Affiliate Summit 2009 or if you are just getting started in affiliate marketing…let me share with you two of my favorite pieces of advice:
