Webinar Invitations - As Easy as One, Two, Three…

Need to send out a last-minute invitation? With iLinc, it’s easy! If you’ve ever hosted a virtual meeting, then odds are you’re like the rest of us and you forgot to invite someone! iLinc makes it easy by showing numerous ways to get a quick email invite out to anyone you need to. Whether you’re missing a student from your class or your Webinar’s guest speaker needs a reminder, with iLinc, sending an invite has never been easier!  

Before your Session: You can invite a user directly from your iLinc homepage. First, go to the title of the desired meeting or activity and click the envelope icon which brings up the “Send Invite” screen. Here you will have the option to directly type in a person’s name and email address or you can click “Select Attendees” to pick from a list of pre-existing people on your site. This will immediately trigger an email to the desired attendee(s). You can also follow the “Invite an Assistant” instructions below to add the person directly to your Attendee List.

During your Session: If you’re already in your iLinc room, you can easily access the same invitation screen described above. Click your “Start Tab” and then click on the “Send Invite” option and you will receive the standard “Send Invite” screen you’re already familiar with. This has the same effect as the instructions above and again immediately generates an email to the selected individual.

Invite an Assistant: If you’re going to be teaching a class or leading your webinar, you probably won’t have time to answer chat questions as well. To add an Assistant to your iLinc event, you need to be logged into your iLinc homepage.  Next, click the pencil icon to “edit” the session. When the edit screen comes up, navigate to the “Attendees” area and enter the Assistant’s information to add them to the Attendee List. Click the checkbox to the far right of their name to designate them as an Assistant. When they join the activity, you will notice their name is now bolded indicating that they are an Assistant.
