iConnect 2010 - 3 Million Miles Not Traveled

We wrapped up iConnect 2010 yesterday and it was fabulous! This year we took the plunge and held our annual user conference 100% virtually and what a difference! We had nearly 1,300 people registered and 800 participated over the 2 day conference. That was about 3 times the number of participants we had last year. Our customers suggested we make the event virtual this year so that more organizations and more people within their organizations could attend…so we did and they came!

Measure Your Increased Productivity

Many companies are using web conferencing to avoid the headaches and productivity losses associated with travel. In order to justify the cost of these services, many companies would like to have a way to quantify these cost savings. That’s where iLinc’s Green Meter comes in. We received a patent last week for our Green Meter which makes it possible to do just that!

Every Day is Earth Day with the iLinc Green Meter

There are many holidays that serve as once-a-year reminders of things we really should be doing and thinking every single day. Some good examples? Mothers Day, which reminds us that we should love, respect and stay in touch with our mothers as often as possible. Administrative Professionals Day, which reminds busy executives to be appreciative of the staff members who make their jobs easier—and do the little things that often go unnoticed. Or how about birthdays? Yes, we only “turn” a new age once a year. But shouldn’t we celebrate being alive more often than every 365 days?

Attendees “Green” it Up at Virtual Conference

iLinc web and video conferencing’s first virtual conference, iGreen, concluded yesterday and it was a huge success. Our attendees came from a variety of industries including education, technology, financial services and consumer products. The speakers all did a phenomenal job, offering attendees best practices for collaborating and communicating online.

Some session highlights:

  • Jennifer Hofmann of InSync Training keeping the trainers who attended on their toes—and proving that a virtual classroom can be engaging
  • Brent Leary of CRM Essentials spreading the social media gospel: companies can build and better manage relationships with their customers using tools like Facebook and Twitter
